High Noon with David Burchfield

Friday, June 26, 2009

The B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center will be hosting its monthly Brown Bag Luncheon with David Burchfield on Friday, June 26, 2009. Burchfield’s topic will be Native American presence in the Delta.

Born in Cleveland, Mississippi, Burchfield grew up listening to music of the 50’s and 60’s. He began studying the piano at age six and picked up the guitar soon after, and has spent his adult life traveling and researching music. He has produced two successful albums and teaches guitar classes regularly throughout the Delta. He performs every other Sunday at Club Ebony and every other Thursday at 308 Blues Bar. He is also an amateur historian with an emphasis in Native American history.

After the Brown Bag Lunch, Burchfield will invite guests to join him on a field trip discussing the burial sites along the bayou in Indianola and Leland.

High Noon Brown Bag Luncheons are held at the B.B. King Museum on the last Friday of every month at 12 noon. Please bring a lunch and join us. No advance reservation is required. The Museum is located on 400 Second Street, in Indianola, MS.
